TCO has been working closely with the Republic of Kazakhstan (RoK) Government authorities to develop a crew change plan that will meet all current RoK requirements and regulations. The primary purpose of this crew change is to safely relieve personnel who have been on extended rotations in Tengiz, and to maintain safe production operations and execute FGP critical path activities. We are pleased to confirm that the plan was successfully approved and TCO and its contractor organizations have resumed crew change operations starting June 15, 2020.
All personnel travelling to the Tengiz field during crew change will be isolated, PCR-tested and certified as “fit-for-duty” prior to proceeding to their job duties. These are mandatory requirements for everyone arriving to the greater Tengiz area. TCO and its contractor organizations have established “clean” accommodation blocks for all incoming personnel.
Personnel travelling back from Tengiz should obtain negative PCR results prior to boarding transportation.
Personnel categorized as high-risk are still not permitted to the Tengiz field.
We expect that crew change will be executed in a controlled and phased manner and will last until mid-July.
The duration of the shifts for the new crews will be extended in accordance with the requirements of ROK legislation.
As always, the health and safety of the personnel and the communities where we work remain our top priority and our crew change operations are guided by this priority.
We would like to remind all of our workforce and contractor organizations that strict requirements on isolation, social distancing, PCR testing, masks and personal hygiene are in effect throughout the greater Tengiz area and TCO reserves the right to take action in accordance with its contracts and applicable laws for failure to adhere these requirements.
We look forward to executing the crew change safely and efficiently and will continue meeting the expectations of our Partners, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the communities where we operate by remaining a leading contributor to the economic development of Kazakhstan.
