When it comes to local content, measuring our performance is important to track our success. Calculation and reporting of Kazakhstani content spent is one of the legal requirements for TCO. It’s in our best interests to ensure that TCO suppliers are familiar with methodology of KC calculation. On a quarterly basis we conduct relevant training for our Business Partners that cover certain aspects of Subsoil Use Code and governmental decrees, which govern the calculation of local content, basic concepts and definitions, and examples of calculating KC in goods and services spent. Please note that this training is dedicated to TCO’s current suppliers and contractors only.
On New Year’s Eve, Zhylyoi region vehicle park was traditionally replenished with new special equipment for municipal needs. Tengizchevroil LLP (hereinafter – TCO) donated six types of special equipment with a total value of about 1.3 billion tenge.
Gulnafis Aishuakova, Deputy Akim of Zhylyoi Region: “Tengizchevroil supports the development of Zhylyoi region and contributes to this effort. Today, as part of the ‘Taza Kazakhstan’ campaign, our region has received new special equipment.”
In total, 18 units of special equipment were delivered: two Hidromek backhoe loaders, five dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 15 tons, two claw-type snow loaders, and soon two highly maneuverable multifunctional combined machines MKM 1904, two Mitrax MP 749 mini-loaders, and five MMK-1000 sweeping machines will arrive. This equipment is intended to support the work of the region’s housing and public utilities services.

According to Nurmukhamed Kartabayev, General Manager for Policy, Government and Public Affairs at Tengizchevroil, the special equipment is designed not only for street cleaning and post-flood restoration but also for snow removal. “TCO, together with the Akimat, contributes to improving the condition of Kulsary streets under the ‘Taza Kazakhstan’ campaign. The company will continue to support the social development of the region where our employees and their families live.”

It should also be noted that new medical equipment worth about 18 million tenge was purchased for the Central Regional Hospital, namely the Haemonetics PCS2 automated donor plasmapheresis machine. “Delivery and installation of the new equipment will take some time, but after the New Year, we hope it will serve for the benefit of Zhylyoi region residents,” said Nurmukhamed Kartabayev.

The special equipment and medical devices were purchased and donated at the request of the Zhylyoi Region Akimat. Last year, as part of sponsorship assistance, TCO purchased and donated two units of specialized road equipment to the region: an SDLG motor grader and a KADEME cleaning machine, as well as a burn recovery bed for the Central Regional Hospital Tengizchevroil continues to support Zhylyoi Region.
