When it comes to local content, measuring our performance is important to track our success. Calculation and reporting of Kazakhstani content spent is one of the legal requirements for TCO. It’s in our best interests to ensure that TCO suppliers are familiar with methodology of KC calculation. On a quarterly basis we conduct relevant training for our Business Partners that cover certain aspects of Subsoil Use Code and governmental decrees, which govern the calculation of local content, basic concepts and definitions, and examples of calculating KC in goods and services spent. Please note that this training is dedicated to TCO’s current suppliers and contractors only.

During the event, TCO leadership emphasized the importance of building long-term partnerships with local suppliers and increasing the participation of Kazakhstani companies in the Company’s supply chain. Since 1993, TCO has procured US$52.6 billion worth of goods, works, and services from Kazakhstani suppliers. In the first quarter of 2026, the company invested approximately US$370 million in advancing local content development, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Kazakhstan's economic growth and the competitiveness of local businesses.

“The development of local content remains a long-term strategic priority for TCO. As part of the forum, TCO specialists provided an overview of the Company’s supply chain, freight forwarding and customs brokerage service requirements, key aspects of safe work execution, as well as the Company’s expectations regarding regulatory compliance and ethical business conduct. Particular attention was given to process safety, which remains TCO’s highest priority and the foundation of all Company operations.

Each year, the Company manages hundreds of international shipments, thousands of customs declarations, and certificates of conformity, requiring a high level of coordination, process transparency, and effective collaboration across the supply chain.
During the discussions, TCO representatives emphasized the Company’s interest in working with suppliers that share its values of safety, reliability, transparency, and responsible business conduct.

A dedicated portion of the forum was focused and upcoming tenders for freight forwarding and customs brokerage services, including the associated Scope of Work requirements and expectations for prospective Business Partners. Participants were encouraged to share market insights, discuss emerging challenges and opportunities, and propose supplier-led solutions to support innovation, efficiency, and long-term value creation. Forum participants were introduced to the key stages of TCO’s bidding process, supplier qualification requirements, and the Company’s approach to ensuring transparency and fair competition.
