Support for the Healthcare Sector in Atyrau Region: TCO Donated 25 Ambulances

Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO), as part of its support for the regional healthcare system, has donated 25 ambulances for the needs of Atyrau Region.

The new vehicles will significantly upgrade the ambulance fleet. Each vehicle is equipped with modern medical equipment, enabling high-quality emergency care already during transportation. This sponsorship not only helps reduce response times but also improves the reliability of ambulance services and enhances working conditions for medical staff. Currently, the regional station handles more than 1,000 calls per day.

Akim of Atyrau Oblast Serik Shapkenov emphasized that efforts to improve working conditions for healthcare professionals are being supported not only by the government but also major regional companies, including Tengizchevroil. “Today we see a clear example of this partnership in action: TCO, the largest subsoil user in Atyrau Oblast, is donating ambulances. This equipment will help enhance the availability and quality of medical care, ultimately improving the well-being of local residents.”

The new ambulances are particularly important for remote settlements and rural areas of the region. The regional ambulance station emphasized that the delivery of specialized vehicles is not just a fleet renewal, but an investment in the sustainable development of the healthcare system, increasing public trust in emergency services, and ensuring a safe environment for medical crews.

“Upgrading the ambulance fleet is critically important for our work. We are grateful to TCO for its support and real contribution to the development of healthcare in Atyrau Region,” said Aibek Orynbasaruly, Director of the Atyrau Regional Ambulance Station.

The donation of specialized medical vehicles marks another milestone in TCO’s long-term partnership with the Atyrau Region Health Department, aimed at developing the social sector, strengthening resilience of the healthcare system, and ensuring residents receive timely, high-quality medical care.

“The donation of ambulances is TCO’s contribution to strengthening the material and technical base of emergency medical services and supporting healthcare workers who save lives every day. We regularly support initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life and developing social infrastructure in the region,” said Billy Lacobie, TCO General Director.

TCO traditionally focuses on supporting social initiatives that promote inclusion, healthy lifestyles, and equal opportunities. Since 1993, TCO has allocated over $3.6 billion to fund various social projects benefiting the population of Atyrau Region and its employees.
