The XI Annual Conference “Kazneftegazservice-2023” was held in Atyrau, where more than 150 Kazakhstani companies and oil and gas operators were in attendance, including Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO). TCO representatives shared the company’s Kazakhstani Content (KC) development activities, and shared information about Tandau project for entrepreneurs from Zhylyoi district.

During the first three quarters of 2023, TCO acquired goods and services from Kazakhstani suppliers worth about $3.2 billion, including over $2 billion as part of Future Growth Project – Wellhead Pressure Management Project. While TCO reached the highest share of Kazakhstani content of more than 70% in the last 6 years in 2022, in 2023 this figure has grown to 72%. Thus, TCO remains one of the main players supporting the development of local businesses.

- This year, for the first time in the company’s history, a local Kazakhstani company AtyrauNefteMash LLP successfully fabricated an approximately 100-ton, 37-meter-tall vessel, to replace existing equipment for TCO’s annual turnaround. The latest technologies were used in fabrication of the column: the column is equipped with connecting pipes, fittings, metal structures, instrumentation, electrical and control systems – all this confirms the huge potential for local manufacturers, - noted Konilkosh Suyessinov, TCO Deputy General Director.

In addition, several installations were manufactured at the plant and metal structures for oil and gas industry in Aktau – three driers of desulfurized gas, a collector for rich amine and a low-pressure cooler.

- According to research conducted by a well-known international consulting company S&P Global, “Every dollar spent on local goods and services stimulates economic turnover by another dollar. This direct and indirect economic impact makes TCO one of the driving forces of Kazakhstan’s economy, - highlighted Konilkosh Suyessinov.

During the conference, representatives of TCO’s KC Development Department met with local companies and answered practical questions regarding participation of domestic companies in TCO’s tender processes. TCO representatives explained about the technical requirements and presented the “Tandau” program to support small businesses in Zhylyoi district. Within framework of this project, 35 residents of the district successfully reached the qualification stage and received an interest-free loan in the amount of up to 4.5 million tenge for execution of their business ideas. Thus, TCO contributes to development of small businesses in the region.
