Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) today announced its business performance results for 2025, highlighting the direct financial payments to Republic of Kazakhstan of $10.6 billion.
In January 2025, TCO reached a significant milestone at Future Growth Project - Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP), by safely initiating production of crude oil at its new Third-Generation Plant (3GP), which was expected to expand Tengiz's crude oil output by an additional 12 million tons per annum. While TCO increased production of crude oil in 2025 to 39 million metric tonnes (311.3 million barrels).
Since 2000 total air emissions intensity has decreased by 78%.
Also, in 2025 TCO completed the phased implementation of automatic emissions monitoring systems (AEMS) and began real-time data transmission from TCO facilities to the relevant state authorities.

Since 1993, TCO has made direct financial payments to Kazakhstan of about $212 billion, including taxes and royalties paid to the government, tariffs and fees paid to state-owned companies, profit distributions to the Kazakhstani shareholder, purchases of Kazakhstani goods and services and local employees’ salaries.
In 2025 company set a new record by achieving 71% of Kazakhstani Content (KC) spend performance driven by active engagement with domestic suppliers. Since 1993 TCO has invested about $52.3 billion on Kazakhstani goods and services. It is also worth mentioning that the Kazakhstani citizens now held 96% of positions in TCO compared to 50% in 1993.
TCO Deputy General Director, Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov said: “TCO’s share of procurement in goods with Kazakhstani registered companies increased significantly from the previous year, reaching 15 per cent. And I would like to highlight the success stories of two local companies, PSI Energy and Karassay Machine-Building Plant, which successfully and safely completed the fabrication of two modular substations, each 38 meters long with modules weighing up to 92 tons. The project was delivered with a total of over 800,000 work hours and without a single lost-time incident. This is a great testament to the potential capabilities of our Kazakhstani companies.”

In 2025, as part of its voluntary social infrastructure program called EGILIK, TCO constructed and delivered the new Health and Fitness Center (HFC) in Zhanatalap village. Also, in a frame of Egilik TCO donated 25 ambulances, more than 80 types of medical equipment for the needs of the Healthcare system of Atyrau Oblast and 20 types of special equipment for the needs of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management Regulation of Atyrau Oblast.
In addition, TCO has made a positive impact on about 10,000 direct beneficiaries in Atyrau oblast, through its voluntary Community Investments Program (CIP), focused on health, economic development, education, and support of Kazakh national heritage.
