Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) hosted a Supplier Forum for Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage Services, bringing together representatives of Kazakhstani companies to discuss future collaboration opportunities, safety expectations, logistics operations, regulatory compliance, and local content development. 

During the event, TCO leadership emphasized the importance of building long-term partnerships with local suppliers and increasing the participation of Kazakhstani companies in the Company’s supply chain. Since 1993, TCO has procured US$52.6 billion worth of goods, works, and services from Kazakhstani suppliers. In the first quarter of 2026, the company invested approximately US$370 million in advancing local content development, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Kazakhstan's economic growth and the competitiveness of local businesses.

“The development of local content remains a long-term strategic priority for TCO. We continue to create opportunities for the growth of local businesses, strengthen the capabilities of Kazakhstani enterprises, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy. We are proud of the progress achieved to date and remain committed to further strengthening our partnerships with local companies,” said TCO Kazakhstani Content Development Manager, Salamat Yeleussinov.  

As part of the forum, TCO specialists provided an overview of the Company’s supply chain, freight forwarding and customs brokerage service requirements, key aspects of safe work execution, as well as the Company’s expectations regarding regulatory compliance and ethical business conduct. Particular attention was given to process safety, which remains TCO’s highest priority and the foundation of all Company operations. 

The participants also gained insight into the scale of TCO’s logistics activities. Each year, the Company manages hundreds of international shipments, thousands of customs declarations, and certificates of conformity, requiring a high level of coordination, process transparency, and effective collaboration across the supply chain. 

During the discussions, TCO representatives emphasized the Company’s interest in working with suppliers that share its values of safety, reliability, transparency, and responsible business conduct.

We seek to partner with companies that share this commitment and are prepared to maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance throughout every stage of the supply chain,” said TCO SCM Manager, Nagendra Doddapaneni.  

A dedicated portion of the forum was focused and upcoming tenders for freight forwarding and customs brokerage services, including the associated Scope of Work requirements and expectations for prospective Business Partners. Participants were encouraged to share market insights, discuss emerging challenges and opportunities, and propose supplier-led solutions to support innovation, efficiency, and long-term value creation.   Forum participants were introduced to the key stages of TCO’s bidding process, supplier qualification requirements, and the Company’s approach to ensuring transparency and fair competition. 

The forum reaffirmed TCO’s commitment to developing Kazakhstani suppliers and creating opportunities for greater participation of local companies. TCO will continue supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening local businesses, developing professional capabilities, and creating long-term economic value for Kazakhstan.
