TCO presented the results of its efforts on Kazakhstani Content development at KIOGE 2026

The share of Kazakhstani content in purchases of Tengizchevroil LLP (hereinafter – TCO) reached 72% in the first eight months of 2026. Speaking at IMB-Center session within the framework of the 30th Anniversary KIOGE 2026 exhibition and conference, Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov, TCO Deputy General Director, shared information on the company’s efforts to develop capabilities of domestic manufacturers and expand the participation of Kazakhstani companies in TCO’s supply chain.

Since its formation in 1993, TCO has invested more than $53.3 billion in the development of Kazakhstani content. During this period, the company has consistently implemented initiatives aimed at increasing opportunities for local enterprises, enhancing production capabilities and increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstani companies.

“Kazakhstani content development remains one of TCO’s key priorities. Cooperation between business, government authorities and local companies contributes to strengthening Kazakhstan’s production potential and supports the sustainable development of the national economy.”, – said Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov, TCO Deputy General Director.

Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov also emphasized the importance of maintaining an open dialogue among the Government, Operators and local businesses to further advance local content development and create new opportunities for Kazakhstani companies.

During the first eight months of 2026, TCO’s Kazakhstani content spend exceeded $1.1 billion. TCO continues to support projects aimed at localizing oil and gas equipment manufacturing in Kazakhstan and expanding cooperation with local suppliers and manufacturers.

As part of KIOGE 2026, TCO Kazakhstani Content development and procurement specialists held separate sessions for business representatives on opportunities to cooperate with the company. Forum participants received information on the qualification process for local manufacturers, the publication of TCO procurement plans, and supplier requirements. Particular attention was given to local producers, including joint initiatives of oil and gas industry operators and the IMB-Center aimed at increasing the participation of Kazakhstani companies in supply chains.
