Tengizchevroil is a leading company that produces oil, gas and associated products that fuels the modern economy. Our history is closely interlinked with the rise of an independent Kazakhstan.
TCO maintains a leading position in the field of industrial safety in terms of such standard indicators as lost working days incidents and the rate of reported incidents.

TCO continues to achieve industry-leading safety results in standard industrial safety measurements such as Serious Incidents and Total Recordable Incidents.
The Contractor Health, Environment and Safety Management Process establishes clear accountabilities, ensures active engagement of contractors, and provides a consistent CHESM program to eliminate health, safety and environment (HSE) incidents and injuries involving contractors.
The requirements and activities included in CHESM process are focused on defining TCO expectations regarding contractor HSE performance, the qualification of contractors and the monitoring of contractor performance against expectations.
Contractors involved in activities presenting risks to workforce and process safety are subject to CHESM Qualification to evaluate HSE Management Systems and ensure adequate safeguards are in place and functioning before starting work at TCO Facilities.
TCO's work is guided by two key principles: do it safely or not at all and there is always time to do it right. Every employee of TCO and its Business Partner companies is responsible for making sure that work can be safely started. Each person has the right to temporarily suspend or completely stop any work if unsafe behavior or conditions are observed. The TCO Safe Work Practices Management Group, together with other teams, ensure that Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines and procedures are continuously implemented and maintained.
A delegation from Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) participated in the annual international conference organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), held in Baku. The event brought together leading experts of the oil and gas industry, representatives of government bodies, academia, and international energy companies.
TCO’s participation in the SPE conference aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, discuss technological innovations, and enhance the professional competencies of its employees. The TCO delegation included managers and technical specialists involved in key areas of the company’s operations from field development and engineering solutions to safety, sustainability, and process digitalization.

Throughout the conference, TCO representatives took part in technical sessions, panel discussions, and expert forums focused on innovative production methods, environmental standards, operational efficiency, and the future of the global energy sector.
Bolat Amangaliyev, TCO Reservoir Management Planning Manager (RMG), shared insights on the company’s achievements:
“Tengiz and Korolev are some of the most technically challenging oil and gas fields in the world which require unique technological solutions and global industry best practices for safe and efficient operations. Over 30 years, we have been leveraging new technologies and innovative methods, which have been adapted to these reservoirs impressive size, scale, and complexity. There are only few fields in the world that have Tengiz-type reservoirs for which gas injection has been used as a mechanism to maintain reservoir pressure and improve oil recovery. We have been utilizing Reservoir Modelling and Simulation technologies for more than two decades for reliable production forecasting and we have developed a state-of-the-art Dynamic Data Integration workflow, which enables us to utilize all available field data for more accurate reservoir characterization and modeling” he noted.

The TCO delegation also held several meetings with partners and international experts to discuss potential collaboration and technologies of future needed for Caspian region’s oil and gas industry.
Tengizchevroil was honored with an award as an outstanding example of commitment to technology, knowledge sharing, and functional excellence. Additionally, Zhambyl Sarbas, Reservoir Engineer, and Khadisha Ussenbayeva, Senior Petroleum Engineer from the Reservoir Management Group, received awards recognizing their contributions.

Background:
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is the world’s largest professional organization for petroleum engineers and earth scientists, uniting more than 124,000 specialists globally. The SPE develops widely recognized technical standards, guidelines, and best practices that shape global petroleum engineering operations. These standards are primarily published through SPE’s technical reports, competency frameworks, and collaborative initiatives
